NYU Abu Dhabi invites applications for a Kawader Research Assistant Fellow position to support a cutting-edge research project focused on the molecular structure and function of eumelanin, using solid-state NMR spectroscopy and complementary analytical techniques.
This position provides hands-on experience in spectroscopy, materials characterization, and collaborative research within an international academic setting.

Key Responsibilities:
Assist in the preparation and characterization of eumelanin samples.
Operate and maintain solid-state NMR equipment (Bruker 400–800 MHz) under supervision.
Perform data acquisition, spectral processing, and analysis.
Maintain organized lab records and assist in report and manuscript preparation.
Participate in collaborative discussions across multidisciplinary teams.
The candidate will also work on individualized research projects under the supervision/mentorship of the supervisor.

Bachelor?s or Master?s degree in Chemistry, Physics, Materials Science, or related fields.
Familiarity with NMR spectroscopy is an asset, but not mandatory (training will be provided).
Strong interest in scientific research, particularly in biomaterials or spectroscopy.
Good communication and teamwork skills.
Commitment to pursue graduate studies in the future is encouraged.
