The Department of Civil Engineering & Engineering Mechanics in the Fu Foundation School of Engineering & Applied Science has an immediate opening for an Associate Research Scientist to work with Associate ProfessorShiho Kawashima. The successful candidate will conduct leading-edge research in cement-based materials and applications with the following responsibilities:
·Conduct materials characterization (XRD, TGA, SEM) and rheological characterization on cement-based materials;
·Conduct mechanical and durability testing on cement-based materials;
·Perform data analysis and reporting.
PhD in Civil Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or Material Science.
This appointment is funded by industry. The appointment period is subject to satisfactory performance and funding availability.
