The College of Engineerings Department of Materials Science and Engineering is seeking a Post Doctoral Scholar to support Ma2jic project - High Melting Rate Tandem GMA Additive Manufacturing Advanced Steels. The Post Doctoral Scholar will specifically, support relationship development on the effects of Argon-Hydrogen shielding gas on properties of directed energy deposition (DED) Fe-10Ni material additive manufacturing builds; Develop unique gas metal arc DED procedures to make sound high quality builds with different Ar-H shielding gases. Support advanced characterization of Fe-10Ni test builds using methods such as SEM and TEM to characterize oxide particle size and distribution.
