Overview We are seeking a dynamic and results-oriented Ceramic Sales Manager to lead our sales team and drive revenue growth. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in inorganic materials. This role requires leadership skills, the ability to negotiate effectively, and a commitment to delivering outstanding customer service. As a Sales Manager, you will be responsible for developing strategic sales plans, managing outside sales efforts, and fostering long-term relationships with clients.
Responsibilities
Develop and implement effective sales strategies to achieve company goals.
Service existing ceramic cement customers by maintaining consistent communication and a regular visitation schedule.
Establish a representation/distribution network for ceramic cements where warranted.
Conduct market research to identify new opportunities and stay ahead of industry trends.
Answer general ceramic cement telephone calls and providing technical support when needed.
Execute ceramic cement market plan by calling on priority accounts identified for new opportunities.
Collaborate with marketing personnel and Sales Director on an annual sales and promotional market plan for ceramic cements.
Work with the Research Priority Committee on new product opportunities.
Recommend pricing policy for ceramic cements on an annual basis.
Report on ceramic cement sales and objectives on a quarterly basis.
Experience
Bachelor’s degree with a focus on inorganic materials or relevant work experience and technical knowledge.
Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, with an emphasis on customer service.
Strong account management skills with a focus on building lasting client relationships.
Demonstrated ability to lead a team and manage outside sales efforts effectively.
Strong understanding of market dynamics and customer needs within the industry.
Requirements
Domestic travel may be required on a monthly basis, with occasional international travel approximately once a year. Regular office hours are Monday-Friday from 8:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. At times you will be required to work outside of regular office hours.
This position requires strong written and verbal communication, as well as the ability to relay information between relevant parties. It involves sitting at a desk, using a computer and telephone, communicating with customers as well as Sauereisen’s office, research and manufacturing personnel. A valid driver’s license is required.
Occasional lifting up to 50 lbs. and the ability to wear appropriate personal protective equipment when necessary will also be required.
