The Chemical & Biomolecular Engineering Department at NYU Tandon School of Engineering is seeking to hire a Post Doctoral Associate to work in the Labs of Prof. Elisa Riedo and Prof. Davood Shahrjerdi.

We are looking for two highly motivated, creative, and independent nanoscience researchers who are interested in interdisciplinary nano and bio research. The research position is focused on novel surface chemistry methods, biochemistry and advanced electronics measurements for innovative next generation biosensors.
Expectations
Candidates will be responsible for tasks including but not limited to:
Conduct hands-on biosensing experiments and surface chemistry characterizations, focusing on biochemical functionalization of surfaces.
Develop and implement novel surface chemistry methods for next-generation biosensors in collaboration with biotech startups.
Perform protein-protein interaction studies and advanced electronics measurements to support interdisciplinary nano and bio research.
Contribute to publications and presentations, showcasing research in high-impact scientific journals.
The successful candidate should be prepared to discuss how they have successfully demonstrated the outlined tasks in their past job experiences. Creative, independent, highly motivated, and solution-oriented researchers are strongly preferred.

Salary range
In compliance with NYC?s Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary for this position is $64,063 depending on the candidate?s experience and qualification.
Candidates should have a PhD in Chemistry, Material Science or Biochemistry or a related field. We welcome applicants with recent PhDs and individuals seeking additional postdoctoral training. Candidates will be required to present eligibility to work in the United States. Candidates should have strong communication skills and be hard working.
