Post Doctoral Scholar
Job Description: The College of Engineering, Department of Materials Science and Engineering is seeking a Post Doctoral Scholar to carry out a research program on design of novel multi-phase microstructures for HEAs to achieve desired properties and enhanced performance for low-density and high-temperature aircraft structural applications via phase-transformation-pathway (PTP) engineering and defect engineering. The Post Doctoral Scholar will build upon the recent experimental investigations, and CALPHAD modeling and phase-field simulation capabilities developed at OSU, to lead the computation efforts in fundamental understanding of the phase transformation mechanisms and predict optimal PTPs leading to desired micro
