TECHNICAL ASSOCIATE I, Koch Institute for Integrative Cancer Research-Langer Lab, to join a multidisciplinary team developing drug and micronutrient delivery systems. The project will focus on project management and study design of novel drug delivery materials for the efficient release of biologics or various micronutrients. Responsibilities will include planning contract research studies; coordinating the efforts of multiple interdisciplinary teams to advance the quality and consistency of materials fabrication; managing the design of preclinical and clinical trials; facilitating efficient collaboration and information transfer between institutions; reporting results and preparing data for regulatory evaluation; fabricating drug delivery materials and evaluating the safe and efficient conduct of research in lab; training and coordinating the work with research support associates, students, employees, and/or temporary staff; ensuring that others comply with established standards, regulations, and laboratory procedures; maintaining lab instruments; and training new users in equipment operation.
Job Requirements REQUIRED: B.S./B.A. in biological sciences, social sciences, biotechnology, material science, engineering, or other relevant field; two years' technical project administration experience (which may include experience gained as an undergraduate); experience with project planning, database management, data analysis, grant writing, and experimental design; experience working with and maintaining technical instruments/equipment; experience making reports and presentations for stakeholders, collaborators, and internal meetings; commitment to exceeding quality standards and producing accurate, high-quality work; strong organizational, time-management, problem-solving, and communication skills; practiced documentation skills; awareness of basic safety issues and ability to follow safety procedures and maintain a safe work environment; and willingness to learn new tools and techniques.
