Full-Time Research & Development Manager
Research & Development Manager We’ve been working with an exceptional, quality centric monolithic refractory manufacturer over the last few years. Due to growth, they are in need of a Research & Development Manager with hands on experience running a lab. This position reports out of their office in Indiana, just 45 minutes NE of Cincinnati. This position carries great responsibility as the next generation of their product line will be in your hands.

-You will work closely with the VP of R&D, marketing, sales, manufacturing, quality assurance and purchasing (as you go through the interview you’ll learn about the people that make up these departments and what makes them special. I’ve been told purchasing has record setting turnaround time.)
-You will mentor and lead a team of engineers and technicians -One of the most important aspects of your role outside of people management will be developing and executing the product development and research plans. You’ll work closely with sales and marketing to develop complimentary strategies and applications.
-You’re likely a very detailed oriented individual so you will excel in areas of improving efficiency and quality.
In the early days you will be spending a lot of time learning product lines and getting familiar with how the organization operates. You will start to develop your style and how you will be most effective in the role. This organization has an outstanding reputation within the industry, earned through quality, commitment.
If you have 10+ years of experience in laboratory management with a degree (preferably advanced) in Ceramic Engineering, Material Science, or Chemistry we’d appreciate the opportunity to speak with you.
