Purpose of Position:
The Division Engineering Portfolio Intern is responsible for day to day management of the Engineering Portfolio process and content. This includes ensuring the accuracy and timely updating of the portfolio of projects, the forecasting process, monthly cost analysis and reporting, and maintenance of master Engineering resource lists.

Key Decision Areas
1.Recommendations and proposals regarding appropriate spending levels across the portfolio to communicate with leadership
2.Effective ways to upgrade the portfolio decisions processes and tools for project managers
3.Sponsoring and managing the bi-annual portfolio review with business engineering and business leadership
·Good communication skills at all levels, this person will interact on a frequent basis with our finance analysts and leaders, division engineering staff and project managers.
·This role currently manages the work of one contract employee.
·If the successful candidate has experience with Performance Excellence, we may broaden this role to include PeX champion responsibilities which would include dotted line relationships with unit level PeX coordinators.

Education and Skill:
·Junior or Senior in Undergraduate degree or in Master's program for engineering or physical sciences
·Demonstrated comfort with technology
·Financially savvy, ability to work with cost analysis
·Cost modeling skills highly preferred
·Project management experience and demonstrated skills, People Management skills, ability to grow in responsibility
