Design Engineer  II

POSITION SUMMARY:
·         The Design Engineer participates in R&D initiatives.
·         Automation, Equipment, and Product Development.
·         Support organizational objectives in the areas of R&D.
               
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
 
·         Actively participate in the new product development process, including GIP.
·         Support new equipment / process implementation.
  • Lead R&D new product development reviews and PPC meetings
  • Support Design for Assembly analysis.
  • Risk Analysis Activities
  • Product Validation Activities
  • Design History File Creation
 
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, and ABILITIES:
 
·         3 to 5 years experience in plastics / medical device manufacturing environment.
·         1 to 3 years project management experience.
·         1 to 3 years Product Development Experience.
·         Relies on limited experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
·         Lean manufacturing and advanced statistical analysis.
·         CAD / Drafting Experience. Solidworks
·         Computer literacy, knowledge of Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Office.
·         Understanding of Bill of Material (BOM).
·         Capable of creating drawings, manuals, and engineering specifications.
·         Self-starter with enthusiasm and ability to work in a team environment.
·         Familiarity with ISO standards, GMP, and OSHA regulations.
·         Process Validations and Risk Analysis FMEA / DFMEA.                                    
 


Job Requirements

OTHER REQUIREMENTS (SPECIALIZED):

  •  Drive Product Ideation Process
  • Regulatory submission support for other areas of BusinesInternal Auditor support.·        
  • Creative development if products and new manufacturing techniques.·        
  • FDA design and regulatory requirements.  

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:·        

  •  BS degree in Engineering discipline or equivalent.
